League of Evil 2Official Waldo Score 7.2/10

7.2out of 10
Official Waldo Review

Unfortunately this was the only League of Evil game I was able to download since League of Evil 1 & 2 were not updated to the newest version of iOS. What a shame, because this has become my new favorite platformer for mobile. The controls for this game - MAKE THIS GAME. They are so smooth and satisfying. Offering complete control as you hop around punching bad guys into bits that literally fly off the screen. My only complaint with this game is that I wish it offered more in the graphics department. The levels felt a little repetitve after a while. Although all fun, I wish there was a little more variation.

Rating Breakdown

This game was given a score of 7.2/10 which is good. Anything above a 5.0 is considered a great game. Below is a breakdown of the elements that were factored into the rating for this game. Even though Waldo's reviews are based on personal opinion, each game's rating follows a strict confidential rubric system for fairness.

User Interface Design (UI)
The UI is nice and clean, but it doesn't offer any movement or transitions. Everything is sort of placed on the screen without any real excitement to make you want to dive into the game.
User Experience Design (UX)
The UX can be improved. The Play Now was obvious, but the other buttons blend too well together. At first glance the top row and bottom row appear to go together in some sort of way. I believe there could be more use of icons and separation to distinguish different sections of the game.
Game Design
This game is simple, but plays really well. The graphics are clean and the animations are nice and smooth. The levels could definitely use more detail. My favorite part of this game is punching enemies so that I can see their bits fly across the screen. There is something so satisfying about this animation.
Learning Curve
The game doesn't really offer much in the tutorial department, but it's a classic example of teach by doing. The levels are designed perfectly to explain the mechanics of the game. Like for example I didn't know I could double jump until I was forced to double jump in one of the levels. Classic.
Difficulty Progression
Difficulty progression was smooth yet challenging.
Playtime Longevity
There is enough gameplay to play for a few weeks. Well worth the value I spent on the game.
Sound Design
Music and/or sound effects fit the theme, but did not add value to the game.
Fun
This game is SO MUCH FUN! The controls for this game are so smooth, I just love bouncing around the screen. You certainly develop some skills as you hop around the level punching bad guys, racing against the clock.
Concept Originality
Uses an unoriginal or already seen before concept.
Post Production
Post production contains a well written description, screenshots, video and icon design.
