Goblin SwordOfficial Waldo Score 8.2/10

Official Waldo Review

I've had Goblin Sword on my phone for almost a couple of years now. It's by far one of my all time favorites and not just because it's a platformer. There is so much to do in this game and every time they release an update with new levels I jump right back into the game and play them. It's a timeless adventure and it never gets old to me. It's one of the few games I find myself enjoying over and over again. Even when my phone broke and I lost all my saved game data, I was more than happy to replay the entire game over again. This game is an idle for what a perfect mobile platform game should be.

Rating Breakdown

This game was given a score of 8.2/10 which is good. Anything above a 5.0 is considered a great game. Below is a breakdown of the elements that were factored into the rating for this game. Even though Waldo's reviews are based on personal opinion, each game's rating follows a strict confidential rubric system for fairness.

User Interface Design (UI)
Super clean and organized. Great use of colors. Movement is subtle but alive. Pixelated to go with the theme of the game.
User Experience Design (UX)
Super clear and easy navigate. Absolutely flawless.
Game Design
The graphics to this game have so much detail and excitement, even for a pixel perfect game, everything is flawless. The mechanics make this game so much fun and there is so much to do. My favorite part are the hidden walls, making you want to explore every inch of the map, just so you don't miss anything. So much time and effort was put into this game and it shows.
Learning Curve
This game teaches you how to play, without actually teaching you. The levels are designed so perfectly it's like learning how to walk, not because you have to, but because you want to.
Difficulty Progression
Difficulty progression was smooth yet challenging.
Playtime Longevity
I've had this game on my phone for years and it hasn't gotten old. They are constantly releasing updates every so often with new levels and things to do.
Sound Design
Subtle, but not very entertaining.
Fun
This game is a lot of fun. Each level is more challenging then the next. The power ups you can collect give the game so much more dimension and it keeps you playing day after day, level after level. There is never a dull moment in this game.
Concept Originality
There is nothing that original in this game.
Post Production
Post production contains a well written description, screenshots, video and icon design.
