OddmarOfficial Waldo Score 8.7/10

Official Waldo Review

Oddmar really set the bar for what a platformer could be on a mobile device. You are instantly immerged into a cut scene explaining the back story of the game. It was short and sweet but right off the bat you develop an emotional connection to the game. From there, it's just straight perfection. The artwork is full of detail and animation and it really brings the game to life. The controls are well calibrated and just feel so smooth. The levels are well designed and pack a lot of entertainment in just 24 levels. If you love platformers, you need to give this game a download.

User Interface Design (UI)
The UI is full of animation and detail, while maintaining a simplistic interface.
User Experience Design (UX)
UX is perfect. Simple and easy navigation, with clear indications of what to do and how to do it.
Game Design
Packed with lots of detail and animation, these levels are just beautiful.
Learning Curve
Game required no tutorials or instructions to play.
Difficulty Progression
Game difficulty progressed to a certain point but then became either too easy or too difficult.
Playtime Longevity
It is a game that you will want to play for a week, but nothing more.
Sound Design
Music and/or sound effects fit the theme, but did not add value to the game.
Fun
I'm a little biased since I love platformers, but this is one of the best platformers I've played for a mobile device. There's so much action with such basic controls. I had a lot of fun playing this game.
Concept Originality
Uses a concept that has been seen or used before but adds a very unique twist to that concept that makes it original on its own.
Post Production
Post production contains a well written description, screenshots, video and icon design.
