Reed 2Official Waldo Score 7.5/10

7.5out of 10
Official Waldo Review

Back in March I reviewed the prequel this game, called Reed. It was one of the first few pixel platformer games I reviewed and I was pretty happy and impressed with the game, but it did have some downfalls that I noted in my review. I'm happy to say that most of my concerns with the first game were addressed in the sequel and it's a much more enjoyable experience. The graphics and sequence animations are amazing. Visually it's a way more polished game. But my only dislike this time around is the gameplay difficulty. Only three levels deep and I'm having a hard time getting through it.

User Interface Design (UI)
The main interface is a little boring and doesn't really draw me in like I was hoping it would.
User Experience Design (UX)
The controls are a little tight.
Game Design
Everything I didn't like about the first game was fixed in this game.
Learning Curve
Basic gameplay was easy to figure out, but some instructions were required.
Difficulty Progression
Incredibly hard after two levels
Playtime Longevity
It is a game that you will want to play for a week, but nothing more.
Sound Design
Both the music and sound effects were well thought out, well produced and original.
Fun
Fun enough to make you play for hours even when you have other responsibilities or things you should be doing.
Concept Originality
Uses a concept that has been seen or used before but adds a very unique twist to that concept that makes it original on its own.
Post Production
Post production contains a well written description, screenshots, video and icon design.
